I am a writer and lawyer from Tampa, Florida. Before attending law school in 1987, i was a reporter and editor of The Tampa Tribune from 1971 to 1986, when newspapers were still cool, or at least profitable. During that time I covered some of the most exciting and interesting stories of the day, including the Tampa angle of the Watergate scandal, the earthquake in Managua, Nicaragua that killed thousands of people, and Hurricane Fifi in Honduras, a devastating storm that killed hundreds.
I am also a United States Marine Corps veteran, having served in Vietnam during the Tet Offensive in 1968 and 1969. i have had three wives (the current one is a saint), and two beautiful daughters.
